According to the EASA regulations work under certain climatic conditions such as unacceptable levels of temperature, hail, ice, snow, wind or, for example, dust, has to be suspensed until the time when regular conditions are re-established. Such demands are not so easy in LINE MAINTENANCE since tasks have to be carried out in a certain period of time independent of weather conditions. However, there are three facts why the EASA has made these regulations: firstly, motivation decreases, secondly, manual skills decrease and thirdly, physical and mental fatigue increases. Since we cannot change the weather work must be adjusted to suit the conditions. A change in time table, protective clothing or an adaptation of work load to the weather can help here.
