Workload management is a typical management task. However, if an overload situation is developing, each individual engineer can suggest solutions to help relieve the situation. Examples for possible solutions include:
- seeking a simpler work method that is still legitimate;
- delegating certain activities to others;
- securing more time to safely carry out the work; or
- postponing, delaying tasks deadlines and refusing additional work.
