Typical stressors which can have a negative affect on our work performance are time pressure and deadlines. Even though stress and pressure is sometimes useful in achieving a certain level of performance it should not become routine. Companies often take on too much and we as workers have to deal with deadline pressure which results in the fear of damaging our reputation by not finishing something on time. The emotion intensifies the 'normal' sense of time passing so it usually feels that time is passing more quickly and the deadline is closing in on us. If we can become aware of such emotions, we can easily relieve a lot of the pressure.
